LADIES GUN CLUB
Ladies Gun Club is an indie/rock, psychedelic/americana band, fronted by Sally Jaye and Sarah Roberts, which create a unique blend of roots harmonies and songs that weave southern stories that have been compared to the writings of Flannery O’Connor, with often times a feminist twist.
Their first release, a self-titled EP, recorded in Laurel Canyon, launched the duo, followed up by their full length studio album, Take My Love Away, which was praised by Bluegrass Situation, Pop Matters, No Depression, and featured on multiple roots and indie rock radio stations around the country. Their album included a cover of the Talking Heads song “Road to Nowhere” for which their music video received over a quarter of a million views on YouTube and was shared by Talking Heads official.
In the last year, Ladies Gun Club has shared the stage with Lucinda Williams, Elizabeth Cook, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Shooter Jennings, Rodney Crowell, The Mavericks, and showcased officially at last year’s AmericanaFest with Lilly Hiatt and Ruby Boots. Their song “Class Reunion” was featured on the network television show Chicago Justice last season.
Ladies Gun Club is currently in the studio working on their next full length album, produced by Brian Wright, to be released late 2019.
